Starkel Nutrition is a private practice nutrition and mental health clinic in Seattle’s University District. Our team supports clients with eating disorders, GI concerns, autoimmune conditions, wellness, and functional nutrition. We value collaboration, compassion, inclusivity, and growth.

Our eating disorder team operates through Rooted Path Nutrition.

Eating Disorder specialist RDN or CN (Washington) 

We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Washington Certified Nutritionist (CN) with a passion for eating disorder care. Experience with restrictive eating disorders, including ARFID, and working with clients of all ages and body sizes is preferred. An LMHC license is a plus.

You will collaborate closely with our team of eating disorder providers within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide outpatient nutrition counseling for eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and exercise addiction
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain clinical documentation
  • Coordinate care with parents, caregivers, and treatment teams
  • Support clients in additional nutrition specialties as appropriate (GI health, thyroid, wellness, etc.)
  • Participate in networking, community outreach, and professional development
  • Attend team meetings and case consultations (paid)


  • Contribute to internal clinical resources and ongoing learning initiatives
  • Build and maintain a caseload with support from the clinic’s marketing and administrative teams

Clinic

Starkel Nutrition provides:

  • Full administrative and billing support
  • Scheduling, insurance processing, and marketing
  • Office space (if needed) and telehealth support

This role begins part-time and grows toward full-time as your caseload develops.

Requirements:

  • Active WA RDN or WA Certified Nutritionist credential required
  • Minimum 2 years of nutrition counseling experience preferred
  • Experience treating eating disorders in private practice or higher levels of care
  • Understanding of HAES and Intuitive Eating principles
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical skills
  • Commitment to inclusivity, continued learning, and non-diet care
  • Willingness to complete suicide assessment/prevention training 

Hours: 

  • Flexible scheduling based on client and practitioner needs
  • Full-time is considered 22 client hours/week 
  • (appointments, charting, coordination of care) plus clinic contribution work (approx 5 hour/week). 
  • Part-time minimum is 15 client hours/week 


Compensation is dependent on: 

  • Employee status (FT or PT)
  • Competitive progressive pay structure based on experience and client hours. Client appointment time is hourly depending on experience, starting at $45-$55/hour with room for raises. 
  • Meetings and client care coordination time $27-$30/hour 
  • Once at full-time, health and dental insurance partial premiums, paid vacation & holidays 
  • Clinic requests a 3-year commitment 

Benefits

Benefits upon start date: 

  • Sick time - accumulates at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked
  • Vacation time - accumulates at 1 hour for every 26 hours worked
  • 401K 

Benefits starting at 17 client hours average/week:

  • $50/month toward continuing education
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance (provider pays 20% premium)



Benefits when full-time (22 client hours/week): 

  • Federal holidays paid 
  • Continuing education credit and licensure reimbursement
