Key Responsibilities
Lead full lifecycle capital projects, overseeing planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout while ensuring alignment with site goals and operational needs.
Oversee automation engineering activities across major systems including VFD upgrades, PLC platforms, SCADA migrations, panel replacements, utility system controls, meter installations, WiFi/PLC integrations, dock equipment controls, CCTV enhancements, and access-control improvements.
Build and maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts, track spending, address variances, and ensure full financial accountability for all capital expenditures.
Ensure all projects meet required documentation standards, phase-gate expectations, and change-control procedures to support compliance and operational readiness.
Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Operations, and other teams to deliver integrated project outcomes and maintain readiness for clinical and commercial activities.
Manage contractors, engineering partners, and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to scope, safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
7 10 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience involving automation upgrades, GMP operations, equipment qualification, and multi-project capital management.
Strong technical background with automation systems including PLCs, VFDs, SCADA platforms, safety devices, packaging systems, control panels, PAS-X/SCADA integrations, and qualification protocols such as IQ, OQ, and PQ.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling and project planning, along with strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control abilities in regulated environments.
Strong leadership presence with clear communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-moving settings.
