Key Responsibilities
- Work with both IT and OT teams to integrate manufacturing systems into a unified data architecture
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for data collection, transformation, and transfer
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, DCS, and related control platforms
- Ensure secure, reliable movement of data from edge devices to central data systems
- Support and deploy IIoT gateways, edge computing hardware, and connectivity layers
- Perform integration work with industrial equipment across the facility
- Document configurations, workflows, design decisions, and integration points
- Provide technical support during commissioning and post-deployment activities
- Troubleshoot field issues, perform calibration, and qualify control systems as needed
- Leadership, strong communication, and solid client-interaction skills
- Deep hands-on background installing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and qualifying industrial controls
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
- Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA platforms
- Solid understanding of OPC UA/DA, MQTT, and common industrial protocols
- Experience with equipment integration and OT data pipelines
- IIoT platform and edge device experience
- Strong expertise with Ignition (Inductive Automation) and Rockwell technologies
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to OT environments
- Background in life sciences or GMP-regulated environments
- Familiarity with validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Experience working on Greenfield projects or large-scale infrastructure rollouts
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or closely related field
