This position is an entry-level opportunity within Stark Enterprises’ Marketing Department and provides hands-on exposure to marketing, events, operations, tenant relations, and seasonal staffing.
Reporting directly to the Events & Marketing Manager and working closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Senior Vice President of Operations, this role supports a wide range of property-wide events, attractions, sponsorship activations, and marketing initiatives. The Marketing & Events Assistant will collaborate with designers, marketers, operators, tenants, and vendors while building foundational skills for a career in marketing and operations.

The Marketing & Events Assistant will collaborate with designers, marketers, operators, tenants, and vendors while building foundational skills for a career in marketing and operations.
Essential Functions
Marketing & Property Support
- Manage seasonal hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and supervision of train and Guest Services associates during summer, fall, and holiday seasons.
- Ensure sponsorship activations are executed correctly, including sponsor commercials, brochure distribution, and team member knowledge of promotional messaging.
- Support the execution and upkeep of property signage by:
- Creating work orders for large signage changes
- Updating smaller signage as needed
- Completing signage audits with the Corporate Sales Manager
- Ensuring digital boards and kiosks are updated and operational
- Take photos of on-property advertisements for sales documentation and sponsorship recaps.
- Submit support tickets when digital signage, billboards, or kiosks are not functioning properly.
- Ensure all public events are promoted through local and regional online platforms, including social media and event listing sites.
- Create detailed sponsorship recap reports highlighting deliverables, performance metrics, and fulfillment of agreement terms.
- Work closely with legal to prepare and manage contracts for all on-site partnerships and activations.
- Support tenants through delivery of information, memos, and flyers.
- Serve as a liaison between tenants and Crocker Park Management, building strong working relationships with store managers and assistant managers.
- Help maintain and update the tenant contact list, including quarterly outreach to ensure accurate contact information.
- Manage social media channels for Crocker Park, Crocker Park Living, and Crocker Park Wine Festival, including:
- Content ideation
- Daily posting and engagement
- Manage and execute sponsored post campaigns
- Monitoring trends, algorithm updates, and platform best practices
- Support website maintenance by:
- Keeping tenant, event, and attraction pages current
- Reviewing and monitoring SEO for CrockerPark.com and Wine Festival pages
- Staying up to date on SEO education and best practices
- Support vendor management by collecting and organizing required documents (license agreements, performance agreements, etc.) and ensuring all agreements are properly signed and tracked.
- Assist with vendor placement and communication leading up to events.
- Work with the Events & Marketing Manager to ensure smooth vendor move-in and day-of coordination.
- Assist with booking and managing summer entertainment, including Music in the Park and seasonal programming.
- Support the collection and tracking of funds for Crocker Park activations.
- Be on-site to support execution of property-wide events, including but not limited to:
- Ice Festival
- Summer Block Party
- Crocker Kids
- Food Truck Challenge
- Tricks & Treats & Tree Lighting
- Music in the Park
- Movies in the Park
- Serve as the liaison between third-party event organizers and Crocker Park Management.
- Ensure agreements are executed, payments are collected, and requirements are met.
- Be on-site for third-party events such as 5Ks, fundraisers, vendor shows, and community events.
- Place Payment Orders (POs) for Marketing regularly and for Operations as needed.
- Learn and utilize the Visitt work order system to submit, track, and follow up on work orders for Marketing and Operations.
- Assist with sending memos to tenants through Visitt and deliver physical memos when needed.
- Support Operations with storefront audits, including documentation and follow-up.
- Act as a backup for the Office Manager when out of the office, including answering phones, completing POs, and sending memos.
- Demonstrate the company’s core values consistently.
- Complete all additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or company.
- Photography and videography skills a plus.
- WordPress experience a plus
- Prior experience managing social media for a business or brand a plus.
- Graphic design experience and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

- Comfortable working non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event calendar.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds for tasks such as transporting marketing materials or event supplies. Must be able to sit, stand, and move throughout the day while conducting marketing events and attending meetings.

- Decision Making Authority: The Marketing & Events Assistant exercises independent judgment in supporting the execution of marketing initiatives, events, and seasonal operations at Crocker Park. This role has authority to make day-to-day decisions related to event logistics, vendor coordination, seasonal staffing support, signage updates, social media execution, and on-site issue resolution to ensure smooth operations and positive guest experiences. The Marketing & Events Assistant may prioritize tasks, adjust schedules, and address routine operational needs within established guidelines. Final approval for budgets, contracts, policy exceptions, and major strategic decisions resides with the Events & Marketing Manager, Vice President of Marketing & Communications.
