Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs assembly of wiring harnesses and mechanical components using hand and power tools.
- Reads and interprets engineering instructions, specifications, and work orders.
- Uses precision measuring instruments and tools required for the tasks.
- Inspects work for conformance to specifications.
- Completes all work correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ability to use hand and power tools with precision.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics.
- Working knowledge of wire harness and electronics installation.
- Working knowledge of acceptance testing and troubleshooting.
- Basic shop math in metric and imperial units.
- Work well both independently and with others.
- Able to identify issues and determine solutions in a timely manner.
- Basic computer skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed.
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- High School or GED. Vocational, or Community College degree preferred.
- Demonstrated work experience in a similar position.
- IPC-610, IPC-620, and/or J-STD certifications preferred.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C.
- 6010.
