What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Stark Aerospace?
Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse personnel, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a positive team environment. Oversee the receipt of stock, manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and implement systems to ensure proper storage and rotation (e.g., FIFO). Direct and coordinate daily activities such as receiving, putting away, pre-kitting, picking, and shipping of aerospace parts. Enforce strict safety protocols, ensure the warehouse environment meets health, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., AS9100), and manage compliance with hazardous materials or special environmental controls. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, minimize errors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
Inspect incoming deliveries, check for damage, and verify against purchase orders and invoices. Supervise the placement of received items into designated storage areas, ensuring proper segregation and organization. Oversee the picking and packing of orders and prepare them for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to U.S. Government requirements and program instructions. Maintain product documentation according to Stark policy and procedures for incoming and outgoing product. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to receiving rates, order fulfillment, and inventory accuracy.
Education and Experience: Hazmat Certified. Associate degree or 5 years of proven supervisory experience in an aerospace industry preferred. Strong record of streamlining logistics, continuous improvement and execution to meet business objectives.
