StarCare Specialty Health System seeks a talented, mission driven, person-centered Associate Hospital Administrator to join the outstanding Sunrise Canyon Inpatient Hospital Team.
Associate Hospital Administrator Responsibilities:
The Associate Hospital Administrator will work in collaboration with the Hospital Administrator to provide leadership and management to the overall operations of Sunrise Canyon Hospital, 30 bed acute inpatient psychiatric hospital. The Associate Hospital Administrator will lead the accreditation process and provide oversight to quality improvement. Will ensure compliance with governing board’s policies and objectives. This role requires attention to details, understanding of key quality indicators for patient care, maintaining a strong system of communication, possessing an ability to inspire employees, and able to lead with compassion. This position will be responsible for the overall operation of the facility's programs according to approved policies, procedures, and Joint Commission Accreditation Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops short and long-range plans to define responsibilities and business activities consistent with hospital goals, objectives, and philosophies, and creates an annual management plan.
- Participate in Join Commission Accreditation activities to ensure compliance to standards by measuring and assessing the hospital’s performance.
- Acts as a liaison between medical staff and hospital departments, interprets public policy. Ensures the implementation of all policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with relevant personnel and departments to recommend/establish new policies and assesses availability of resources to implement care.
- Oversees record and reporting systems providing for proper service control and measurement of program outcomes.
- Promotes good community relations through involvement in community affairs and serving on related boards and committees.
- Communicates with the fiscal intermediary and other third-party payers as necessary to maintain good relations.
- Pro-active approach to problem solving and taking measures to avoid the crisis.
- Keep the programs running at FULL capacity.
- Serves as backup to the nursing staff to ensure continuous patient care, as needed.
Schedule: This is a full-time/exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the hospital.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing/Social Work/Mental Health or related field, required.
- Master’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, business administration, leadership or closely related field or clinical degree, preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years administrative or management experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Administrative management or supervisory experience providing service to persons with psychiatric disabilities.
- Experience leading in a healthcare regulated facility (such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), etc.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
