What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager -- Home Improvement Industry position at STAR Staffing Solutions?
The Opportunity
Join a household name in home improvement as our Sales Manager for Kitchen Renovations in the DMV. We aren’t looking for a "desk manager"—we need a high-energy, hands-on leader who lives for the thrill of the "one-call close" and finds their greatest success in building others. You will lead an elite team of Design Consultants, coaching them in and off the field to transform pre-qualified appointments into dream kitchens for our customers. What You’ll Do: Lead, Coach, and Close
- Drive Revenue & Conversion: You are accountable for your team meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets, maintaining high average ticket sizes, and ensuring predictable revenue growth.
- Field-First Coaching: Spend 30% of your time in the field. Conduct regular "ride-alongs" to shadow reps, diagnose skill gaps, and model advanced closing and objection-handling techniques in real-time.
- Enforce the "Proven Process": Ensure every consultant follows our documented sales methodology, from initial presentation to contract signing, without deviation.
- Recruit & Retain A-Players: Build a strong sales bench by identifying, hiring, and onboarding top-tier talent, then accelerating their "ramp-to-productivity".
- Pricing Discipline: Protect gross margins by enforcing pricing compliance and managing discount controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Production and Project Management teams to ensure a seamless handoff and "5-Star" customer experience.
Who You Are
- Inspiring Leader: You have a proven track record of motivating teams in a high-stakes, commission-based environment.
- The "Closer": You are a master of in-home sales and aren't afraid to "roll up your sleeves" to help a rep close a complex, high-ticket kitchen deal.
- Data-Driven: You use CRM data (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to track KPIs like demo-to-close rates and lead conversion to drive coaching decisions.
- Relentless Standards: You hold yourself and your team to the highest level of accountability, professional appearance, and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of success in direct in-home sales, preferably in kitchen remodeling, bathroom renovation, or high-ticket home improvements.
- Leadership: 2 years of experience managing a sales team with a documented history of hitting team-wide quotas.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems and a basic understanding of kitchen design/measurement is a plus.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a schedule that reflects when our customers are home (including evenings and Saturdays).
Compensation & Benefits
- Earnings Potential: Competitive base salary performance-driven overrides and bonuses. On-target earnings (OTE) typically range from $150,000 to $250,000 .
- Total Rewards: Comprehensive health/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, and car allowance/mileage reimbursement.
