(Star Pipe Products Ltd. has an opening in Houston, TX) Automation & Controls Engineer: Debugging, troubleshooting and program modification of PLC, Robot, HMI, and Vision System. Review and assist for control system programming and developing logic diagrams. ABB Robot programming for IRC5 controller using Robot Studio methodology, Epson 4-axis SCARA Robot programming using Epson RC 7 software, HMI screen development using NI LabVIEW software, Cognex vision camera teaching in In-sight Explorer software using Easy-Builder and Spreadsheet methodology, PLC programming of Allen Bradley CompactLogix and Point IO modules using Studio Logix 5000 software. Running the production on Special Purpose Machines (SPM). Reviewing, controlling, and participating in the commissioning of the electrical panels. Perform various scenario tests and failure mode analysis for different scenarios and troubleshooting of machines to handle such scenarios. QA and QC testing of final assembled parts on the SPMs. Helping maintenance team on the Weekly/Monthly/Yearly preventive maintenances of the Special Purpose Machines (SPM). Training operators on the machine running and the other aspects of the machine. Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. Requires Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, or related and 3 years of experience. 3 years must include experience with (1) Epson 4-axis SCARA Robot programming; (2) using NI Labview Software, (3) PLC programming of Allen Bradley on Studio Logix 5000, (4) Cognex Vision Camera programming using In-sight Explorer, and (5) ABB Robot Programming.
