Registered Nurse - Corrections

RN - Registered Nurse Needs – ASAP

• Correctional Experience - Must Have 12 months of Experience.

Location: Butner, NC 27509

Facility: Correctional

Shifts: AM – 8hrs shifts

Length: 13 Weeks contract with an option to extend

Start date: Asap

Shift: 1x AM

Number of positions: 1

Pay Rate:

• No housing - Local: $58/hr
• With housing (50 miles away from permanent): $48/hr
• Housing stipend: $30/hr (taxable) $1240 (tax-free) = 30/31

(Must be 50 miles from facility to taxable address to qualify for housing or housing stipend pay.

Job Details:

• Manages the inpatient flow of patients from preadmission and admission, through the time of discharge and efficiently optimizes the utilization of inpatient beds. Identifies demand and capacity mismatch for inpatient beds.
• Works in conjunction with referring physicians and nurses, accepting physician and nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, and facilitate inpatient transfers.
• Provides clinical screening on all admission requests using Criteria for medical necessity.
• Screening is done for appropriateness and pre-certification.
• Collaborates with the staff in utilization management for follow up on urgent and emergent transfers and admissions.
• Documents communication note in electronic medical record, with detailed inpatient, clinical information including reason for transfer and details of transfer plan.
• Facilitates and coordinates the details of admissions with departments.
• Coordinates inpatient bed assignments based on acuity, aggregation and bed availability.

Requirements:

• Resume – with a minimum of 12 months of Adolescent / Juvenile care experience
• RN - NC license (in good standing)
• Current - BLS/CPR
• 2- current references (supervisors)
• PPD/TB QuantiFERON (within the last 12 months)
• Chest X-rays should have a negative result TB Questionnaire
• COVID Vaccination documentation
• COVID Declination
• Current physical (within the last 12 months
• MMR, Varicella, Hep B- Vaccination or declination
• Flu Vaccination is Required.
• Must be able to pass background/urine drug screen (Within the last 12 Months)
