Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Whippany, NJ. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects and performing quantity takeoffs based on project drawings and specifications. Additional tasks include collaborating with project managers, reviewing blueprints, and identifying project requirements. The role will emphasize cost analysis, vendor and subcontractor coordination, and contributing to project planning to ensure competitive and compliant bid proposals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, and budget preparation
- Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints, electrical specifications, and construction documents
- Familiarity with electrical systems, materials, and installation standards
- Strong proficiency in estimate preparation software and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet tight deadlines
- Previous experience in an electrical estimation or similar construction role is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field is preferred
