Job Summary
STAR Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and support our overnight manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory or leadership experience in a food manufacturing or food production facility. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage employees, maintain production standards, enforce food safety procedures, and ensure the shift operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead night shift production employees
- Monitor daily production activities and workflow
- Ensure production goals and quality standards are met
- Enforce GMP, food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, and productivity
- Assign tasks and ensure employees follow work instructions and SOPs
- Identify and report production, quality, or safety concerns
- Communicate shift issues and production updates to management
- Support employee training and development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production environment
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Operations leadership
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food production facility required
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GMP and food safety practices
- Ability to lead employees and hold team members accountable
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight operations
- Experience with production reporting and documentation preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Highly Preferred
- HACCP Certification – Basic or Advanced
- Food manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience with GMP-regulated manufacturing
- Experience with food safety and sanitation programs
- Experience supporting Quality Assurance and production compliance
