Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and trucks.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Fabricate and weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity.
- Communicate effectively with the shop foreman regarding repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in soldering electrical components when needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience
- Previous experience as a diesel engine and heavy truck repair or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication processes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
