Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Concrete Foreman to lead and oversee concrete construction projects on-site. This role is vital in ensuring that all concrete work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a Concrete Foreman, you will coordinate crews, manage schedules, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with construction regulations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage concrete crews, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to guide onsite activities.
- Coordinate construction schedules and workflows using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or ProCore to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations across all site activities.
- Oversee quality control measures, including inspecting concrete mixes, curing processes, and finished surfaces for compliance with specifications.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, daily reports, safety logs, and progress updates using tools like Bluebeam and Prolog.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, scheduling adjustments, and resource allocation to optimize productivity.
- Supervise crew management activities including training, performance evaluations, and enforcing safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety practices and ensure construction regulations are followed diligently.
- Utilize technical tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary for specific projects involving pipeline or electrical components.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction as a supervisor or foreman with a focus on concrete work.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, and Primavera.
- Extensive understanding of blueprint reading, construction drawing review, project scheduling, and construction safety management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and local building codes related to concrete work.
- Excellent communication skills for managing crews, coordinating with project teams, and managing client expectations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and oversee quality control measures on-site.
- Valid certifications such as OSHA safety training; additional certifications like management training or specific technical licenses are preferred.
- Physical capability to perform site supervision duties including standing for long periods and inspecting various site conditions.
