The Role
This position is for an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with a focus on Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) duties. You will perform and review technical security assessments, validate and verify system security requirements, and design and implement secure systems and components. The role involves building security architectures, assessing and mitigating risks throughout the program life cycle, and contributing to security planning and awareness activities. You will also review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation and apply your expertise in various security engineering areas in compliance with RMF and other directives.
What You'll Bring
Fourteen (14) years of experience as an ISSE on programs of similar scope and complexity.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline. Four (4) years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted for a degree.
A CISSP Certification and compliance with DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level 2.
Certification that meets IAM Tier 2 requirements.
Full understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and procedures.
Experience with NIST 800-53 security control implementation and self-testing.
Experience reviewing vulnerability scans.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Relevant ISSO, ISSM, and/or ISSE experience.
Experience interpreting Security Directives, Policies, and Regulations.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph is required. We are not able to upgrade clearances or accept CCAs. Please note, you must have the required clearance for consideration; under-cleared applicants will not receive a response.
