Stanley Cooper & George Consulting Group is seeking experienced Construction Safety Managers (MUST HAVE BCSP DESIGNATION/CERT. EXAMPLE. STS-C, CHST, ETC. OR EHS DEGREE) to lead safety initiatives across data center construction projects. The Safety Professionals will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company safety policies, creating a culture of safety, and minimizing risks for employees, subcontractors, and the public. Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Establish and maintain comprehensive safety protocols that comply with OSHA, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct Site Inspections: Perform regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Training and Education: Organize and lead safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Incident Management: Investigate and document accidents, near-misses, and safety violations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local, state, and federal safety laws and ensure full project compliance.
- Safety Communication: Foster a culture where safety is a priority by promoting open communication and reporting of hazards.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate project-specific risks and collaborate with construction teams to implement mitigation measures.
- Crane & Heavy Equipment Safety Oversight: Ensure safe operation, setup, and movement of cranes on-site, including lift planning, load calculations, and adherence to OSHA and NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) standards. Work closely with rigging teams and crane operators to enforce proper lifting procedures, signaling protocols, and site-specific safety measures.
- Safety Performance Monitoring: Establish key safety metrics, track performance, and report findings to senior management.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Safety Gear: Ensure availability and proper use of PPE and other safety equipment on-site.

Qualifications
- Minimum Experience (one of the following is required): 5 years of safety management experience in data center construction.
- 3 years of safety management experience in data center construction hands-on experience managing crane safety, rigging operations, and lift planning.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other industry safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills to enforce safety policies across diverse teams.
- Crane & Rigging Safety Experience: Familiarity with OSHA 1926 Subpart CC (Cranes & Derricks in Construction).
- Experience coordinating critical lifts, ensuring compliance with load charts, wind restrictions, and operator certifications.
- Knowledge of rigging plans, signal person requirements, and proper lifting techniques.
- Certifications (highly preferred): OSHA 500 (Trainer Course for Construction)
- OSHA 510 MINIMUM
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- Rigging & Signal Person Certification (NCCCO preferred)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical mindset for identifying potential risks and recommending proactive solutions.
- Ability to work onsite five days a week and conduct frequent site visits.
- Mechanical contractor safety management experience
- Electrical contractor safety management experience
- Proven ability to manage jobsite incidents
- Excellent report writing skills required
- NFPA 70E CERTIFICATION
