Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and tissue
- Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging including digital radiography
- Monitor and care for patients under anesthesia and during post-operative recovery
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care
- Maintain accurate patient medical records using veterinary practice management software
Requirements:
- Active Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in Pennsylvania
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and laboratory diagnostics
- Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused demeanor
- Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes safely and humanely
- Team-oriented with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting
