Standing Bear High School is looking for a dynamic individual whose focus is on equitable learning outcomes for each student.
Standing Bear High School is searching for an innovative teacher/director who will build a program that is vibrant, busy, and perpetually student-centered, focusing on showcasing students' skills and their development of skills in both the art of theater but also the technical aspect of theater This candidate must have with solid instructional skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and community members.
The educator should possess strong multi-model instructional tools to work with students grades 9 – 12 in the following area in theatre. Additional skills needed include the ability to create strong relationships with all students; effective communication skills; daily use of assessment to drive instruction and quality feedback to all learners; willingness to serve the Standing Bear High School community in all aspects; learning in the art and science of teaching; a reflective educator, an individual who understands the practices of cultural proficiency and applies those practices with students, staff and families.
Theater Director is a stipend position.
This position is subject to a veterans preference.
