What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planner Interiors Group position at Standard Textile Co., Inc.?

The Planner will have the overall responsibility for the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories needed for production, tracking progress of production, and review of factors which affect production schedules. Must effectively collect and communicate information and changes between; Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Senior Management. This role will also include but is not limited to inventory management functions and related systems information maintenance. The Planner will report to Production Planning Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Include: Extensive knowledge of specific product line(s) Understand and adapt to customization of product line(s) for specific customer requests Responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule in the ERP system and communicating the production schedules to the manufacturing sites Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and production constraints Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner to avoid production delays Train and educate internal employees on finite scheduling and current planning and materials management techniques Review and maintain stocking levels for stocked manufactured products Work independently or with a team to achieve goals Qualifications Include: Required: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university Preferred: 1-5 years’ experience in a planning or forecasting position Required: Detail oriented with excellent communication and organization skills Preferred: MRP or MRP II experience in an engineer-to-order, or make-to-order environment The hybrid schedule for this role includes in-office work on Tuesdays - Thursdays, and additional onsite days may be required during the training period. Associates are expected to be in the office during this time.
