Job Summary

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our Asset Management team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the financial and operational efficiency of our solar assets. The Accounts Administrator on the Asset Management team will support financial operations, with a focus on accounts payable (AP), receivable (AR), and budgeting for our portfolio of solar assets. The role will collaborate closely with the Asset Management, Operations, Structured Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, timely processing of payments, and streamlined record-keeping. This position is ideal for a finance or AR/AP professional who is passionate about renewable energy and eager to work in fast paced environment for a growing organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Process and verify Accounts Payable & Receivable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to and from vendors.
  • Generate and send invoices to clients, track outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Maintain vendor records, ensuring accuracy in vendor setup, payment terms, and banking details.
  • Receive and submit Purchase Orders for approval.
  • Support the record keeping of transactions in Oracle, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist Accounting in month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for management, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Track and manage the financial aspects of solar assets, including budgeting, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
  • Assist in monitoring asset performance metrics, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management and Operations teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of asset expenditures, contracts, and operational data.
  • Assist with documentation and reporting for audits, ensuring that records are complete and readily available.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline & automate workflows, and enhance the efficiency of financial operations within the Asset Management and Operations teams.
  • Participate in system and software implementation projects, offering insights to enhance financial tracking and reporting capabilities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting, finance, or a related administrative role, preferably within asset management, energy, or a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in software (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy or solar industry financial practices is a plus.

Physical Demands

Conducts work in both a field-type environment or in a professional office setting with local travel to jobsites to conduct inspections. Physical working conditions may involve the following:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, and/or bending.
  • Extended periods of reading fine print on a computer or in paper-based format.

Routine aspects of this position may place the incumbent in situations where they may be susceptible to potential hazards from the following:
