Full Charge Bookkeeper
Standard Meter Lab, Inc. Our ISO/IEC 17025-2017 accredited calibration laboratory provides calibration and repair services traceable to NIST for a wide range of electronic, mechanical, physical/dimensional, analytical, thermodynamic, and test & measurement equipment. We support many different industries and a large array of manufacturers (OEM).

Your responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements, the establishment and preservation of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business, including all other general accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll tasks. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date filing reports and advising management on needed actions
- Handling reconciliations for bank, general ledgers, and processing weekly payroll
- Processing AP/AR and handling collections
- Ensuring completion of monthly, quarterly and year end close accurately and on time
- Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules
- Carefully file documents to preserve historical records
- Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
- Perform payroll and payroll taxes
- Perform month end closing and statements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online
- Proficient with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
- Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets
- Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite experience desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Education and Experience:
- AA degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration is a plus
- 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Payroll is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Salary Range:
- $26.00 - $30.00 (Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.)
This is a regular-full time position based in Livermore, CA.
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
