As a Project Leader within the StandardAero Operating System (SAOS) team, you'll lead the execution of key business and operational projects that drive efficiency, quality, and alignment across the organization.
This is an individual contributor role. While this role does not involve direct people management, you will be fully responsible for leading and coordinating your own projects from start to finish., collaborating with stakeholders across functions and locations. What You'll do:
- Take full ownership of assigned SAOS projects, from planning and coordination to delivery.
- Develop project charters, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with all contributors.
- Track progress, manage risks, and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives.
- Analyze project data and performance metrics to drive insights and improvement.
- Support cross-site deployment plans and business case development.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
What Skills You'll need:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of project coordination or leadership experience in a cross-functional setting
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Ability to build strong working relationships across teams and functions
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge in building a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is required.
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies, and understands the five phases of project management
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience in aerospace, MRO, or manufacturing
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement knowledge
- PMP certification or formal project management training
Additional Info
- Remote Work: Role can be based any of our US or Canada sites
- Travel: May involve up to 25-50% travel, with flexibility based on project needs
