AI / ML Developer - Conversational AI & AWS

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.

We are seeking an experienced AI / ML Developer to design, build, and scale intelligent conversational experiences across voice and chat platforms using AWS services such as Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, and Bedrock. This role focuses on delivering enterprise-grade AI agents that improve customer experience, automate workflows, and support measurable operational efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate will contribute to scalable, secure AI solutions that improve self-service resolution rates and increase conversational AI accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Amazon Connect contact flows, queues, and routing profiles.


• Configure Amazon Lex intents, slots, utterances, and manage bot lifecycle.


• Implement RAG solutions using Amazon Q / Bedrock.


• Build Lambda functions for backend orchestration and integrations.


• Define IAM roles and policies for secure service interactions.

Qualifications
Required:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on development experience with Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, AWS Lambda, and IAM.


• Experience with Generative AI, RAG, and prompt engineering.


• Familiarity with Bedrock or similar LLM platforms.


• Experience integrating APIs and enterprise systems.


• Proficiency in Python or similar programming language.

Preferred (Optional):

• Experience with voice and contact center AI solutions.


• Knowledge of speech services and AI copilots.


• Understanding of knowledge management systems.


• Experience with monitoring and analytics frameworks.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract starts at $95 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
