The Role
This is a morning shift position from 4:30 am to 12:30 pm. As a Morning Food Quality Control Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring that all U.S.D.A. and S.S.O.P. documentation is properly handled and maintained. Your daily tasks will include conducting tests on seasonings, batters, breadings, and marinades to ensure product consistency and compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities
- Conducting tests on seasonings, batters, breadings, and marinades
- Randomized product checks, monitoring weight, length, and thickness
- Hourly product pickups, metal detection checks, and box weight tracking
- Organoleptic testing (cooking and evaluating product quality)
- Monitoring and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator for determining percentages and averages
- Adherence to quality and safety guidelines
- Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs in a cold, loud, and fast-moving production environment
