Junior Accountant

Role Summary

The Junior Accountant role will support the Company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and growth initiatives. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, assisting with audits, and collaborating with other corporate departments to ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This would be a great opportunity for a recent Graduate or someone early in their career. Must have clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support the annual financial audit.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records and prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed.
• Assist with quarterly reviews, interim and year-end external audits.
• Special projects and other assigned duties.
  
  

Essential Skills And Competencies

• Experience with general ledger reporting systems and financial statement preparation
• In-depth understanding of account reconciliations and GAAP principles
• Understanding of debits and credits supporting recorded transactions
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
• Effective time management and organizational skills required to adapt to changing priorities and evolving business needs
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to recommend solutions to identified issues
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are a must
  
  

Education Or Certification Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Candidates with general business degrees and a concentration of accounting courses will be considered.
• 0-4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
