Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Leasing Manager to oversee the leasing operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, with a focus on maximizing occupancy rates and ensuring tenant satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to managing leasing activities, maintaining property standards, and fostering positive relationships with residents.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, and processing applications.
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to attract potential tenants while maintaining compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and property maintenance requests using property management software such as Apfolio or CMMS.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of tenant issues and upkeep of property standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess condition and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and training to leasing staff on best practices in customer service and property leasing.
- Stay informed about Section 8 housing regulations and LIHTC compliance requirements to assist eligible tenants effectively.
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to lease agreements, evictions, and tenant disputes as necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in property management software (Appfolio) and CMMS systems.
- Strong knowledge of real estate administrative processes and property leasing best practices.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) required
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry tasks.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills to address tenant concerns promptly and effectively.
