Job Purpose & Responsibilities:
- Assist in cash reporting, bank transaction approvals, monthly cash reconciliations, and other treasury management as needed.
- Handle internal processes involving reconciliation, general ledger and month-end-closings with a focus on cost of goods sold functions.
- Responsible for preparing routine journal entries and posting financial transactions.
- Review and reconcile inventory and inventory transactions. Report on inventory scrap transactions monthly.
- Review leases and update IFRS 16 software monthly.
- Review monthly absorption and material usage variances to evaluate general ledger balances.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements and perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist in the budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the financial management of the organization by monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections
- Assist with various audits such as fiscal year end auditing
- Collecting and analyzing data about company’s operational costs
- Assist the Canadian operation with their financial functions to include receivables, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation and A/P.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Professional Experience/Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar capacity
- Demonstrated Excel skills
- Experience working in JD Edwards (or similar Enterprise software system)
- Sage Accounting Software (used for Canada)

Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
