Key Responsibilities:
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Analyze financial results and provide leadership with explanations for fluctuations and performance trends
- Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts such as accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and payroll-related accounts
- Maintain schedules related to fixed assets, amortization, leases, debt, and other key accounting areas
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to requests from external auditors
- Ensure accounting practices remain compliant with GAAP standards and internal policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and reporting accuracy
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as needed
- Support junior team members and contribute to a collaborative accounting environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2–4 years of accounting experience required
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Experience working in healthcare, retail, or multi-location environments is a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred
- Familiarity with Power BI or financial reporting tools is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 remote day weekly
- Standard hours are approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with some flexibility
- Limited overtime expected outside of month-end close periods
