Janitor/Cleaner

Wisconsin Whey Protein provides high quality milk protein ingredients to manufacturers of food and beverage products worldwide. Our products are produced in custom built facilities in Darlington and Turtle Lake Wisconsin.

Darlington, WI has an immediate opening for a Full Time Janitor at their plant which would be Monday through Friday from 6am-2pm or 8am-4pm.

Summary: As a Janitor you will be expected keep staff amenities clean, organized, and stocked. You will need to keep traffic routes clear of debris and clean. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls, glass, and operating scrubbers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

· Gather and empty trash.

· Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

· Service, clean, and supply restrooms.

· Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

· Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

· Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

· Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

· Ensure all documents and supplies needed for palletizing cheese are on hand.

· Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification/Requirements:

· 1 years janitorial experience preferred

· High school diploma/GED

· Willingness to work extra shifts

· Ability to work well under minimal supervision

· Capacity to take direction

· Strong attention to detail

· Must be able to verbally communicate, understand and write in the English language.

· Consistent and punctual attendance required.

· Pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.

· The employee is required to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

· Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs. as necessary.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
