Salary range: $50,000-72,000 Based on experience (~$24-34.6/hr)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, people-focused HR Assistant to join our team. If you’re the kind of person who finds satisfaction in a perfectly organized spreadsheet and enjoys being the "go-to" for employee questions, you’ll fit right in.
In this role, you’ll be the engine under the hood of our HR department, ensuring that everything from onboarding to payroll runs smoothly and that our team feels supported from day one.
The role reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for supporting daily HR tasks including Onboarding, Offboarding, Event Planning, Employee Relations and other HR administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Support: Post job openings, coordinate interviews, and managing candidate communications to ensure a positive "candidate experience." This will include submitting and reviewing background check information for candidates.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Prepare new hire packets, workstations, facilitate orientation sessions, and manage the logistics of equipment and systems access. Process offboarding of employees and collect any company property as needed.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain digital and physical employee files, ensuring all data (from addresses to certifications) is accurate and compliant.
- Payroll & Benefits: Assist with tracking hours and helping employees navigate their benefits packages. Help resolve payroll discrepancies for employees.
- Employee Relations Support: Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies, leave of absence, and general HR procedures.
- Event Planning: Help organize team-building events, holiday parties, and wellness initiatives to keep company culture thriving. Lead the planning and execution of employee recognition events/campaigns.
- Application Processing: Expedite the flow of credit applications from prospective customers, ensuring all essential fields are filled and submitted on schedule.
- Receipt Reconciliation: Collect receipts from various sources (paper, email, electronic invoices) and organize them by expense type, date, or project.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with the collection of receipts for the reimbursement/corporate card payment process
- Partner with the finance team to gather information for new customer credit applications
- Assist with supporting front-desk responsibilities including welcoming/escorting visitors on-site
- Support needs of the executive leadership team with data analysis, administrative support and other tasks as assigned
- Undertake other responsibilities as required to contribute to overall business operations
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in warehouse support or manufacturing environment preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Proficiency in both Google suite and Microsoft products
- Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to keep information confidential
