Job Summary
We are actively seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) to join our operations team in South Windsor, CT. This is a hands-on leadership role with strong growth potential and visibility across the business. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production floor activities, manage staff, prioritize workloads, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations during the 2nd shift
- Manage and lead a team of approximately 15–25 employees (permanent and temporary)
- Ensure production jobs are prioritized, scheduled, and completed accurately and on time
- Oversee receiving of materials and distribution to the production floor
- Sign off on all jobs including material, media, and verification checks
- Monitor and optimize production efficiency while minimizing downtime
- Supervise mail industry production equipment (Bindery, Insertion, Postal Sort)
- Coordinate with supporting departments (Print, Inkjet, Forms, Scheduling) to meet SLAs
- Maintain proper staffing levels and provide lead time to warehouse teams for materials
- Work with external vendors for sorting and labor forecasting needs
- Ensure all safety, quality, and ISO standards are met
- Train, mentor, and cross-train associates to reduce labor costs and improve flexibility
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and career development activities
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of warehouse experience
- 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,418.15 - $72,761.64 per year
