Qualifications

What you'll be doing:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling production completion dates to include production status and assist with capacity planning. The Scheduling Coordinator will also schedule duties with Quality Assurance (QA) coordination, assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with QA policy process and reports. The Scheduling Coordinator with assist the Production Manager and Operations Director to review, develops, and implements policies to improve profits by identifying leaner manufacturing processes. The Scheduling Coordinator will also provide essential information to leadership for personnel and equipment capacity analyses, planning, and conducts engineering changes for production lines, and recommends equipment purchasesand keeps Senior Management well informed of recommendations and areas needing improvement. Provides further assistance to the Management Team as required.

  • Assumes responsibility for effective strategic planning information.
  • Assists Management in developing short and long term production goals. Provides suggestions and recommendations.
  • Participates in developing Production Department policies and procedures and ensures that they support and complement Company-wide strategic objectives.
  • Makes recommendations for capital improvements and equipment purchases.
  • Participates in budget development.
  • Assumes responsibility for adhearing to effective Production analyses and planning.
  • Schedules and reviews production plans with leadership. Performs ongoing analyses and decides to complete, cancel, or defer work based upon current inventory, demand, and materials availability.
  • Performs capacity analyses for individual production lines. Troubleshoots potential capacity problems on an ongoing basis and adjusts as appropriate.
  • Recommends engineering and production changes as appropriate.
  • Notifies leadership of flow manufacturing constraints to reduce bottlenecks.
  • Work with QA to ensures that consistently high-quality components are produced in accordance with schedules and order requirements.
  • Assists with Supply Chain for the efficient and effective completion of inventory management functions in accordance with the production schedule needs.
  • Ensures that materials are available to meet production schedules.
  • Assist Supply Chain to coordinates the rotation of inventory to minimize scrap and reworked parts.
  • Effectively assists in supervising assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
    • Provides leadership with effective goal setting, delegation, and communication.
    • Provides assistance and support as needed to assign personnel.
    • Trains, advises, and counsels employees on current production schedule. Provides suggestions to improve performance and productivity.
    • Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.
      • Coordinates activities with production, customer service, receiving, and inventory personnel to ensure on-time production.
      • Provides support for Warehouse, Receiving, and Production personnel. Makes suggestions to improve operational procedures.
      • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. Provides special operational reports as requested.
      • Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional relations with external trade contacts, vendors, suppliers, and outside service providers.
        • Represents the Company in business negotiations where needed.
        • Oversees ongoing relationships with vendors to assist with scheduling.
        • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
          • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
          • Stays informed of developments and changes in production planning, scheduling, and management strategies.
          • Completes special projects as assigned.
    What We Are Looking For

    • Operations Management, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Logistic, or a related field
    • Extensive Excel knowledge and experience
    • Production schedule assists with goals and policies, supporting the overall strategic plans of the Company.
    • Production operations are based on meaningful analyses of available capacity, personnel, equipment, and inventory in conjunction to production schedule.
    • Production personnel are well informed of operational schedule. Support is provided as needed.
    • Professional relations are developed and maintained with outside vendors and trade contacts.
    • Good communication and effective coordination exist with Production and Warehouse Departments.
    • Required documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes.
    • Strong understanding of inventory management.
    • Specific knowledge of production line requirements and processes.
