Duties
- Operate the cash register efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are properly displayed and easily accessible.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting in inventory management tasks.
- Load and unload products using a pallet jack as needed, ensuring safe handling of merchandise.
- Perform heavy lifting when required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Package items for customers efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience in inventory control or management is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using equipment such as pallet jacks for loading and unloading products is preferred.
