We are seeking an Facilities Mechanical Engineer to join a leading global aerospace company. In this role, you will design, develop, and commission HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) solutions by performing heating and cooling load calculations, creating mechanical design packages, programming control sequences, and validating system performance for facility projects.
This is a 6-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role (4-day 10-hour shifts per week), and this is an on-site role in Grand Prairie, TX.

Responsibilities
- This Mechanical Engineer role merges HVAC design, system commissioning, and Building Management System (BMS) controls.
- You will deliver comprehensive engineering packages from calculating initial cooling/heating loads to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance.
- Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
- Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- 8 years of experience as Facilities Mechanical Engineer.
- 5 years experience in Mechanical Engineer role merges HVAC design
- 5 years experience in Building Management System (BMS)
- Experience delivering comprehensive engineering packages from calculating initial cooling/heating loads to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance.
- Bachelor's Degree (in Mechanical Engineering)
- Client will provide safety eyewear. Safety shoes are required for this position.
