We are seeking a Designer – Men’s Knits and Sweaters for our global retail client. In this role, you will be responsible for creating original concepts that encompass style, color, and fabric through interpretation of fashion trends. You will produce sketches and support seasonal presentations while partnering cross-functionally to ensure design execution aligns with brand vision and business objectives.
This is a 40-hour per week, 3-month contract, 100% Onsite role in New York City, NY.
This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.

Responsibilities
- Identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, and techniques.
- Create original design concepts based on trend analysis and brand direction.
- Produce black and white sketches and color-up all sketches.
- Responsible for seasonal fabric orders to the color level.
- Partner with sourcing and materials development teams.
- Attend cross-functional meetings with Men’s Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design.
- Create design and technical packages, partnering with Production and Technical Design, and help communicate the vision behind fit and design, ensuring execution, quality, and desired margin targets are achieved.
- Provide basic fit and body block information and attend fit sessions.
- Related design experience in menswear, knits, and sweaters.
- Strong sketching and color application skills.
- Ability to interpret fashion trends into commercially viable designs.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience. Related design experience.
