We are seeking an AI Data Governance Specialist for our global retail client. In this role, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and enforcing data governance frameworks for AI/ML initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant, and well-governed data across enterprise platforms, while enabling scalable and responsible AI adoption.
This is a 40-hour per week role, 9-month contract (extension possible), an onsite position in Dallas, TX (Work timings: 8 AM to 4 PM PST).

Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce AI data governance policies, standards, and best practices across enterprise data platforms.
- Define and manage data governance frameworks for AI/ML data pipelines including ingestion, labeling, feature engineering, and model training.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through governance controls, validation processes, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Maintain and manage data lineage, metadata, and data cataloging using governance tools.
- Conduct bias reviews and ensure responsible AI practices are followed across data and model lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement governance workflows and drive adoption.
- Partner with technical teams to manage feature stores, model registries, and data versioning processes.
- Support compliance with data privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA.
- Drive continuous improvement in governance processes and frameworks.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data governance analysis.
- 10–15 years of experience in data governance or data stewardship, including 3–5 years focused on AI/ML data.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale data platforms and large organizations.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML data pipelines including ingestion, labeling, feature engineering, and model training.
- Familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Azure ML, SageMaker, Databricks.
- Experience with data governance and catalog tools such as Collibra, Atlan, Alation, Informatica.
- Working knowledge of SQL and basic Python.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift.
- Understanding of feature stores, model registries, and data versioning.
- Ability to develop and enforce AI data governance policies.
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and responsible AI guidelines.
- Experience conducting bias reviews, data quality checks, and maintaining data lineage.
