Stafkings Personnel Systems is recruiting for a Pharmacist position responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role includes medication review and dispensing, IV admixture preparation, patient counseling, pharmacy operations support, and participation in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Pharmacist seeking a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review, monitor, compound, and dispensing medications prescribed by authorized providers
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
- Prepare IV admixtures and other pharmaceutical compounds
- Provide drug information and medication counseling to patients and families
- Monitor medication therapy and analyze therapy-related data
- Support safe and effective pharmacy operations
- Supervise pharmacy aides and support staff
- Participate in pharmacy and facility-wide performance improvement activities
- Assist with interpretation of Medicaid payment rules, regulations, and policies
- Support cost containment initiatives and provider request reviews for Medicaid coverage
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Pharmacist license and current registration
- OR
- Be reachable on the current Pharmacist eligible civil service list
OR
- Be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law with one year of qualifying competitive or 55-b/55-c serviceRequirements
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Current New York State Pharmacist licensure and registration
- Completion of OMH requirements including:
- HPC Orientation
- TRUST Training
- CPR Certification
- Required vaccinations:
- MMR
- Hepatitis B
