Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior QA Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our FAST insurance product. The role involves leading test strategy, executing complex test scenarios, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring defect-free releases across web, mobile, and API layers. The ideal candidate brings strong insurance domain knowledge, hands-on testing expertise, and a quality-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Understand business requirements, FAST insurance workflows, and regulatory needs
- Define test strategy, test plans, and test cases for functional and non-functional testing
- Identify testing scope, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
Functional & Regression Testing
- Execute end-to-end testing across insurance processes such as:
- Policy issuance
- Endorsements
- Renewals
- Claims
- Payments & integrations
- Perform regression testing for new releases and enhancements
- Validate data accuracy across systems and integrations
Automation & API Testing
- Design and maintain test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman / REST Assured
- Identify test cases suitable for automation and improve coverage
Defect Management
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers for resolution
- Ensure defects are retested and closed with proper validation
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Business Analysts
- Mentor junior QA team members and review test artifacts
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Non-Functional Testing
- Support performance, security, and UAT testing
- Validate compliance with insurance standards and data privacy requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in manual and automation testing
- Hands-on experience with:
- Test automation tools (Selenium / Cypress / Playwright)
- API testing (Postman, REST Assured)
- SQL for data validation
- Experience testing web-based and API-driven applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Domain Skills
- Solid understanding of insurance domain concepts
- Experience testing insurance products or platforms is highly preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations is a plus
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and handle complex testing scenarios
- Quality-driven mindset with attention to detail
Good to Have
- Experience with FAST / digital insurance platforms
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS / Azure)
- Performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
