Job Title: Product Manager – Retail Digital Platform Migration
Location: Remote Work (USA)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager to lead the migration and unification of multiple retail brands onto a single digital platform. This role will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional and cross-brand stakeholders, defining product vision and roadmap, translating complex business requirements into actionable user stories, and driving platform standardization while preserving brand-specific differentiation.
The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator with deep expertise in retail and digital products, and a proven track record of managing large-scale platform transformation initiatives across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute the product roadmap for a unified digital platform supporting multiple retail brands.
- Drive brand migration and platform consolidation strategies aligned with business goals, customer experience standards, and long-term scalability.
- Balance platform standardization with brand-specific customization to ensure a consistent yet flexible customer experience.
- Partner with leadership teams to define product priorities, success metrics, and strategic initiatives.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Collaborate with brand leaders, merchandising, marketing, operations, UX, and technology teams to gather and refine business requirements.
- Act as the central point of coordination across multiple brands and business units to align priorities and product direction.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and cross-functional meetings to define product capabilities, roadmap, and scope.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive consensus in complex environments.
Requirements Gathering & User Story Definition
- Translate business requirements into detailed epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Ensure requirements are well-defined, testable, and aligned with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Work closely with QA and engineering teams to support successful delivery and validation.
Platform Migration & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end migration of retail brands from legacy systems to a unified digital platform.
- Identify dependencies, risks, constraints, and integration challenges, and proactively drive mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design scalable, reusable, and maintainable solutions.
- Support release planning, migration readiness, and post-launch optimization activities.
Customer Experience & Optimization
- Champion customer-centric product design and seamless omni-channel experiences across web, mobile, and in-store channels.
- Use analytics, customer insights, and performance metrics to optimize user journeys, engagement, and conversion.
- Ensure consistency in UX/UI standards while enabling brand-specific experiences where appropriate.
- Continuously evaluate customer feedback and market trends to improve digital experiences.
Agile Delivery & Program Execution
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with Scrum Masters, engineering teams, and program managers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Track and report KPIs such as migration success rate, feature adoption, customer engagement, and user satisfaction.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across product and delivery processes.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of Product Management experience, preferably in Retail, E-commerce, or Digital Platforms.
- Proven experience managing multi-brand, multi-tenant, or enterprise-scale digital platforms.
- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) and product lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience writing user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with engineering, UX, architecture, and data teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage complex initiatives and drive alignment across multiple business units.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with platform modernization, re-platforming, or digital transformation programs.
- Exposure to omni-channel retail ecosystems including e-commerce, mobile, and in-store experiences.
- Familiarity with headless commerce, APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with product management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise retail environments.
