Title: Fabric Architect (Enterprise Data & Power BI Architecture Lead)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: Long term Contract
Job Summary:
Owns the end-to-end architecture across Databricks, Fabric, and Power BI. Ensures the Enterprise Customer workspace model, mirroring strategy, and semantic layer are scalable, secure, and aligned with business use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and govern end-to-end data architecture:
- Databricks → Unity Catalog → Fabric (OneLake) → Power BI
- Define and enforce:
- Semantic Layer and use respective Fabric/Databricks technology to support and maintain Enterprise and Customer workspace
- Own data access patterns:
- Mirroring vs Direct Lake vs Import vs DirectQuery
- Establish performance strategy:
- Dataset design, aggregation, concurrency handling
- Ensure security architecture:
- Unity Catalog Fabric RLS/OLS alignment
- Define CI/CD pipelines (Dev → Client → Prod)
- Validate architecture against use cases and scalability
Key Skills
- Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Direct Lake, Pipelines)
- Power BI semantic modeling (enterprise scale)
- Azure Databricks & Unity Catalog
- Data architecture patterns (lakehouse, medallion)
- Security models (RBAC, RLS, OLS)
