What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Staffworks?
Quality Control Inspector
Hours: 7:00am.-3:30pm. Monday - Friday
Pay rate:$19.00 per hour
Conduct First Article Inspection on new products and/or revised products. Inspection throughout the entire manufacturing process including inspection of raw materials, parts, sub-assemblies and finished goods
Quality Control Responsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate action is taken when non-conforming material is found.
- Make production run or hold recommendations based on the critically of the defect.
- Ensure operators are processing or assembling material according to Work Orders and/or BOM.
- Communicate discrepancies to the attention of the Supervisor, Assistant Q.C. Manager and Q.C. Manager
- Document performed inspections including non-conforming product found during the inspection process.
- Create DMR’s in Epicor for all non-conforming product.
- Follow Q.C. procedures, plans and test procedures as outlined Examine, disposition and document customer returns.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety in all of the quality control work areas
- Prompt completion of tasks assigned by Quality Management
Quality Control Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in Quality Control and/or manufacturing preferred
- Detail-oriented, capable of reviewing and documenting a high volume of product evaluations
- Skilled in written and verbal communicator
- Possess excellent time management skills and can prioritize various tasks
- Capable of operating basic measuring devices (such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Team player who likes to work collaboratively
