Who You Are
Seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead manufacturing of custom hardware supporting a field-deployed recognition platform, including electromechanical gate systems, edge compute enclosures, and display hardware.
This role leads manufacturing technicians, oversees production processes, certifications, quality systems, and vendor relationships while partnering across operations, logistics, and engineering.
What You'll Do
- Oversee manufacturing of electronics and electromechanical systems.
- Lead, mentor, and train manufacturing technicians.
- Establish workflows and improve quality control processes.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for yield, cycle time, quality, and process capability.
- Own product and lab certifications, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate on forecasting, planning, and field failure analysis.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory with logistics partners.
- Improve manufacturing and inventory management systems.
- Report manufacturing metrics, quality results, and risks to leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in electronics/electromechanical manufacturing and 2 years leading teams.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with UL, CE, FCC, or similar certifications.
- Experience with contract manufacturers or in-house hardware production.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP and inventory systems, lean manufacturing, and 5S methodologies.
- Logistics and 3PL coordination experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Experience in high-growth environments is a plus
