A well-established and growing manufacturing company in the Knoxville area is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its procurement team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven background in purchasing, supplier management, and inventory planning.

Responsibilitie

• sSource and purchase materials, components, and supplies to support production operations
• .Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
• .Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs
• .Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while evaluating performance
• .Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow
• .Issue and manage purchase orders while tracking deliveries and resolving discrepancies
• .Analyze purchasing data and identify cost-saving opportunities
• .Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and quality standards

Qualificatio

• nsRequired: Previous purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environmen
• t.Strong negotiation and vendor management skill
• s.Experience with ERP/MRP system
• s.Excellent organizational and analytical abilitie
• s.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other business softwar
• e.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadline
• s.Bachelor's degree preferred but equivalent experience will be considere
