Responsibilities
- Perform general dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions with precision and care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans
- Utilize dental imaging technology and medical terminology accurately to diagnose oral health issues
- Execute complex procedures such as root canal therapy, dental fabrication, prosthodontics, and oral surgery while maintaining aseptic technique
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure infection control standards are upheld and that all dental office protocols are followed efficiently
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging, and infection control procedures
- Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care for pediatric patients (pediatrics) is highly desirable
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, and prosthodontics confidently
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance for safeguarding patient information
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and delivering compassionate service
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is preferred to ensure seamless integration into our team
