StaffMode is looking for an experienced Vice President of Engineering for a well-funded, fast-growing multinational manufacturer of high-performance capital equipment serving the energy sector. This full-time, onsite leadership role is based at the company’s advanced engineering and manufacturing campus in the Greater Houston area and reports directly to the North American President.

What You’ll Do
- Own the complete engineering strategy and multi-year technology roadmap
- Lead end-to-end product development of complex capital equipment (concept through field support and upgrades)
- Drive innovation across mechanical, electrical, controls, automation, and digital systems
- Build and scale a world-class, multidisciplinary engineering organization
- Partner tightly with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and field service teams to deliver on cost, quality, and schedule
- Ensure compliance with all relevant North American and international standards
- Act as the senior technical authority on major bids, customer programs, and critical field issues
- Manage engineering budgets, test facilities, and project prioritization
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- 15 years of engineering experience with high-horsepower capital equipment in energy, oilfield services, power generation, or heavy industrial markets
- Minimum 8 years in senior engineering leadership (Director or VP level)
- Proven success delivering multi-million-dollar equipment programs from concept to widespread field deployment
- Deep knowledge of pressure equipment, rotating machinery, mobile power systems, and related industry standards
- Demonstrated ability to optimize designs in collaboration with manufacturing and supply chain
- Strong track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams in dynamic environments
Nice-to-Have
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Direct experience with electric-drive systems, turbine-powered equipment, or next-gen low-emission technologies
- Background in digital oilfield / connected equipment solutions
