Work Schedules: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Summary
An established, multi-entity organization is seeking a detailed-oriented
Staff Accountant to join their finance team. Operating across multiple profit
centers, they provide a dynamic and collaborative work environment. This role
is responsible for maintaining balance sheet integrity, managing general ledger
functions, and supporting the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a desire
to contribute to the company's continued growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Financial Reporting:
Maintain balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for designated profit
centers; prepare accurate reports for management review. - Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all applicable balance sheet (BS) and
profit and loss (PL) accounts, with a primary focus on inventory, accounts
payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), prepaids, and accruals. - Month-End Support:
Prepare journal entries and bank reconciliations; successfully execute
monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing tasks. - Cash & Expense Management: Review employee expense reports and handle daily cash
management tasks. - Audit & Compliance: Support internal controls tasks and assist with
quarterly and annual closing tasks, including corporate audit preparation
and compliance matters. - Financial Planning:
Provide key support for corporate forecast and budgeting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a
related field. - 1-4 years of dedicated General Ledger (G/L) accounting
experience. - Intermediate Excel proficiency (including pivot
tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas). - Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
- A solid understanding of month-end, quarter-end, and
year-end closing processes. Proven ability to meet strict deadlines,
maintain strong attention to detail, and communicate effectively. Strong
interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating across teams. - A foundational understanding of internal controls
(preferred). - Ability to speak Japanese (plus).
