Requirements
- Previous experience setting up and operating punch presses, stamping presses, or similar manufacturing equipment
- Experience completing machine setups for production runs
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with tool, die, and mold setup preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Commitment to following all workplace safety procedures
Job Duties
- Set up and operate punch and stamping presses for production runs
- Complete machine changeovers and adjust equipment for production
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and product specifications
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to verify product quality
- Assist with tooling, die, and mold setups to maximize production efficiency
- Conduct routine equipment inspections
- Perform basic preventive maintenance
- Operate a forklift as needed to move materials and support production
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Collaborate with team members to identify continuous-improvement opportunities
