- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional education or training in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or business is a plus.
- DOT safety, transportation compliance, or fleet management training preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics coordination, or fleet operations.
- Experience scheduling drivers, coordinating deliveries, and managing transportation routes.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation safety standards, and compliance requirements preferred.
- Proficiency with dispatch, routing, fleet management, or logistics software.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- DOT driver safety experience is highly preferred and may qualify for higher compensation.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to monitor multiple transportation activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong visual attention to detail when reviewing schedules, routes, reports, and logistics data.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to transportation issues and emergency situations.
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient transportation operations.
- Monitor driver performance, routing, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Optimize transportation routes using logistics analysis to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate real-time communication with drivers to resolve delivery, traffic, and scheduling issues.
- Track shipments, verify logistics data, and maintain accurate transportation records.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and transportation safety standards.
- Lead incident response efforts and assist with transportation-related problem resolution.
- Support customer service activities, delivery updates, and operational reporting.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to transportation growth and efficiency initiatives
