Here's what it takes to succeed with us (Dispatcher Requirements):
- Previous transportation or trucking industry experience required
- Dispatching or logistics coordination experience preferred
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Day-to-Day (Dispatcher Job Duties):
- Obtain and verify shipment details from customers to ensure accurate dispatching and routing
- Coordinate truck dispatch schedules and monitor freight movement from origin to destination
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding load status and delivery updates
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment information in dispatch and transportation systems
- Resolve transportation issues quickly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced logistics environment
