- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Transportation Manager or in a comparable leadership role
- Prior supervisory or people-management experience
- Strong understanding of profit and loss management
- Solid knowledge of safety programs and compliance
- Preferred experience supporting logistics on large construction sites
- Ability to leverage technology as part of daily operations
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Proven ability to lead with integrity, collaboration, and operational excellence
Daily Tasks & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between general contractors and logistics teams, managing the overall project plan
- Coordinate the flow and transportation of materials and equipment to construction sites
- Align deliveries with changing project timelines to prevent bottlenecks and site congestion
- Interface directly with customers to resolve issues promptly and maintain high service levels
- Lead strategic operational planning and execution for assigned projects
- Identify and resolve operational challenges using continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies
- Hire, coach, and manage employee performance while fostering positive employee relations
- Maintain open communication across teams; review operational data and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage profit and loss responsibilities based on the scope and complexity of the operation
- Lead and enforce proactive safety programs in accordance with company policy, ensuring a secure work environment
